Akinbolawa Taiwo Modupe
Barr. Akinbolawa Taiwo Modupe (nee Adeniyi) graduated from the prestigious Obafemi Awolowo University Ile-Ife, (formerly University of Ife) with a bachelor of law (LL.B) in 1992.
She later attended the Nigerian Law School Lagos for Barrister of Law (B.L) Certificate in 1993.
Modupe joined the Ministry of Justice in December, 1999 and has had the privilege of working in various departments in the ministry.
She held the position of Administration General and Public Trustee, from 2003 to 2007. She was posted to the Directorate of Law Review in 2007.
As Director Law Review, she partaked in the final editing and proof reading of the final draft of the maiden edition of the Laws of Ekiti State. She was also part of the team that went to South Africa for training in editing and proof reading organized by LexisNexis in 2009.
In 2010, Modupe was posted to the Directorate of Legal Drafting and Corporate Law. In the same year, she was given admission into the Nigerian Institute of Advanced Legal Study, Lagos, for a Master’s degree in Legislative Drafting.
Modupe who also holds a Master’s degree in law, LLM(2005) from the Obafemi Awolowo University Ile-Ife, was the first secretary of Association of Women Lawyers (Fida) in Ekiti State. She is a member of Pan African Lawyers’ Union (PALU) and also represents her Ministry as ex-officio member of the Fiscal Responsibility Commission, Ekiti State.
She has attended seminars , workshops and trainings in Nigeria, the Republic of South Africa and the Cameroun.
