Yetunde Oluwatoyin Odunayo is a Chief Legal Officer and a deputy director in the
department of Administrator general and public trustee in Ekiti State Ministry of
Justice. She holds a first degree in law from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife,
Osun State and Masters degree from same University.

ODUNAYO was called to the Nigeria Bar in 2003.

Her core areas of professional experiences are criminal law, Human Right Law
and Practice, gender advocacy, civil law Practice, Meditation and Arbitration

Before she joins the service of Ekiti State Civil Service Commission, She had a
stint in commercial law practice with Corporate Affairs Commission where she
observed her mandatory one year Youth Service.

She joined the service of Ekiti State Civil service Commission in 2006 and was
posted to the Directorate of Public Prosecution in the Ministry of Justice.
Her Job Description include: Issuance of Legal Advice, Drafting of legal document and
Prosecution of Criminal cases.

She was later posted to the Directorate of Civil Prosecution where she prosecuted civil
related suit instituted against government to conclusion. Also, she served in the
Directorate of Citizens Right where she engaged in alternative dispute resolution and
mediation practice.

Odunayo served as the Focal Person/Desk Officer representing Ministry of Justice
in Ekiti State Aids Control Agency (EKSACA). She was part of the team that
understudy and drafted the bill that conferred the status of agency on SACA Ekiti

She was the Desk Officer of Orphans and Vulnerable Children OVC Steering
Committee in Ministry of Women Affairs, she attended training of trainers on
psychosocial support programme to support Orphans and vulnerable children (OVC)
in Ekiti State, supported by PACT, Nigeria.

She was formerly the Legal officer/adviser attached to the Ministry of Culture and
Tourism. She Represented the Ministry of Justice at Gender based violence committee
in the Ministry of Women Affairs.

She was formerly the Welfare Secretary of the Nigerian Bar Association, but now the
Vice – Chairman of the Nigerian Bar Association Ado Ekiti Branch.
Odunayo is the Chairperson of Planned Parenthood Federation of Nigeria Ondo – State

Odunayo is a member of Nigerian Bar Association (NBA Ado-Ekiti Branch),
International Federation of Women Lawyers (FIDA) Ekiti Branch), Nigerian
Institute of Management (NIM), Member of Justice Sector Reform Team Ekiti
State, Associate Member of Nigerian Institute of Chartered Arbitrators
(N.I.C.ARB.), Member Sunshine Toastmasters Club (Toastmasters International).
She is also the Chairman of the Board of Trustee of Citizen Centre for Social
Development (CCSD) an NGO.

Odunayo attended all annual conferences of Nigerian Bar Association till date .
She attended the Regional Congress of International Federation of Women Lawyers,
Abuja where the African Protocol on Women and the Ratification and Domestication
of the Convention on Eradication of Violence against Women (CEDAW) was discussed.
She attended International Conference of the International Federation of Women
Lawyers (FIDA) in Milano, Italy.

She attended the International Conference of International Federation of Women
Lawyers, Lagos Nigeria.

She attended PACT Nigeria OVC Training of Master Trainers. Abuja, Nigeria.
Support to Justice Sector in Nigeria, Asaba, Delta State.

Odunayo attended International Conference on Legal Risks and Countermeasures on
China – Africa Investment and Trade. Hosted by China Law Society.

Odunayo held international appointment as the consultant of the FOCAC Legal Forum
of China. She was appointed as the research fellow of China-Africa Legal Research
Centre. Also she was appointed as the consultant of China Research Centre for Legal
Diplomacy. She also was appointed as the Consultant of China – Africa Legal Training

Odunayo Attended the 4 th course of China – Africa Legal Professionals exchange
project (Beijing Foreign Studies University), 4 th Course of China Zhegiang Gongshang
University of Law and Intellectual Property), 4 th Course (Guandong University of
Foreign Studies Guanzhou).
Odunayo loves reading the biography of great minds, she loves traveling and
meeting people.

Her passion include protection of the right, health and psychosocial need of
women, children and vulnerable people.
In support of her passion, Odunayo established an NGO called Citizen Centre for
Social Development (CCSD).
